Quickie update
Nov. 4th, 2005 10:41 pmI may get around to posting what I have written so far here tomorrow. In the meantime, I didn't quite hit my personal goal of 10,002 words today (to be about two days ahead of the daily word quota). Still, 9446 words is a respectable number if I do say so myself. I shall endeavour to get up early tomorrow to "catch up" and maybe, depending on how the muse is feeling, get even a bit further. 550 words is more than doable, and I've re-jigged my schedule so that I can attend the writing jam on Sunday. I just have to find out at what time it's being held, and then I'm good to go.
I don't foresee nearly enough sleep this weekend.
Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that I may have unleashed a monster in my novel, and it's not the serial killer. Right now she's just a name, Louise Provencher, forensic pathologist. I added her as an afterthought tonight while I was volunteering at my dancing club, as it occurred to me that a scene with a medical examiner would provide me with more wordcount (yay!). Unfortunately, her personality appears to be growing by leaps and bounds, and I haven't even begun writing for her yet. This bodes very ill. Then again, it'll contribute to wordcount.
Oh, and the obligatory wordcount meter:
